Daily Defrag was created as a starting point to help you implement tools and strategies for maintaining positivity, health and vitality through all of life's seasons. It not only starts with what we put in our bodies, but how we think.
From the moment we wake up, our minds are creating our mood. If we wake up with dread for what's ahead, chances are we will feel anxiety and apprehensiveness. Judgmental thoughts of other people and their lives constantly create inner turmoil and crowd out any chance at inner peace.
Whether we acknowledge it or not, our mind is running in the background. We are not bystanders. You can be an active participant in choosing the soundtrack that plays every moment of every day.
Daily Defrag is a simple daily three-step system to begin clearing up mental fogginess
We need to get rid of all the fragmented thoughts swirling around our minds in order to get down to who we really are and what we really need and want. Daily Defrag starts with downloading all the seemingly unconnected and random things floating around our brains. Begin by simply writing out every random word or phrase that comes into your mind. It doesn't need to make sense and it doesn't have to be neat or orderly. Just let it flow without judgment. Eventually with practice, the "static" will subside and we will get down to our true inner voice and our authentic selves. We can do the cleaning either before or after we load in a new program. The effects are cumulative!
Choose a theme and create a phrase that speaks to you. It doesn't matter how short or long it is, one word or multiple words. This will be your "anchor phrase." It can be something you want to achieve for yourself - your health, fitness, career. Repeat the anchor phrase. Out loud works best or if you prefer you can sit in a comfortable position and roll the phrase silently in your mind. Ideally begin in a quiet place, starting with five minutes, but if that seems too long, set a timer for a minute and gradually increase. Ultimately the goal is multiple five-minute sessions per day.
Now that you have cleared a new path and installed a new program, whenever you feel yourself slipping into the old familiar soundtrack, continually actively replace it with the new anchor phrase. As many times as it takes. If you get sidetracked or distracted, this is normal and is part of the Daily Defrag training. We are creating new pathways in our brains -- new highways to take us to new and exciting places.
The best place to start is at the beginning. Awareness is the first step. Now that you are aware that your thinking up to this point hasn't been working, you are better equipped to address the problem.
